BAILIFFS ACT ON EMBATTLED AND INDEBTED OPPOSITION MMD

Bailiffs today seized several properties at the MMD secretariat over the party’s failure to settle outstanding rental arrears.

The former ruling and now opposition party owes NAPSA in excess of 200 million kwacha in rentals for the party’s national secretariat at Lusaka House.

And one of the bailiffs, Masautso Banda told journalists that the seized property will be auctioned if the MMD does not pay the money within 5 days.

Meanwhile, MMD National Secretary, Richard Kachingwe could not comment on the bailiffs claiming that the party has not yet received official notification over the seizure of the property
