MWANAWASA’S CHILDREN DEFEND HIS LEGACY

Late President, Levy Mwanawasa’s son, Patrick has defended his father’s legacy describing him as a principled man.
Patrick, who is vying for the Kafulafuta parliamentary seat, also says he believes his father would have been proud of his decisions.
The late President’s son has further said his father was also not going to be disappointed with his association with the Patriotic Front.
Patrick was in an exclusive interview in the advent of the country commemorating the 3rd anniversary of his father’s demise.
Dr Mwanawasa died on 19th August 2008 in Percy Military hospital in France after suffering a stroke.
Meanwhile, Dr Mwanawasa’s daughters, Lubona and Chipo have described their father as a stepping stone in the family.
Chipo also depicted her father’s leadership as one filled with truth and honesty.
And speaking at a church memorial service at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Lusaka, Vice President, George Kunda said Dr Mwanawasa was a law abiding head of state.
