The Non-Governmental Organisations’ Coordinating Council –NGOCC- is concerned with the failure to publicly announce parliamentary aspirants for the 2011 elections.
The opposition parties have not publicly announced their adopted parliamentary and local government aspirants for the 20th September tripartite elections.
But NGOCC board Chairperson, Beatrice Grillo says the political parties decision is undemocratic and not helpful.
Mrs Grillo has said in a statement that NGOCC expected a lot of transparency in the manner the parties were going to conduct their business ahead of the polls.
Meanwhile, Mrs Grillo says NGOCC fully supports the Law Association of Zambia’s concerns over state-broadcaster, ZNBC.
LAZ has cited ZNBC fro gross breach of the ZNBC act through bias news coverage skewed towards the MMD and disadvantaging the opposition.
