President Rupiah Banda has declared 5.8 billion kwacha worth of assets, in his nomination, ahead of the 20th September general elections.
In presidential nominations, which took place between 7th and 13th August 2011, the PF leader, Michael Sata declared more than 100 million kwacha, which he accounted for in 7 firearms, among his assets.
The Heritage party’s Godfrey Miyanda declared 1 billion kwacha worth of assets while the FDD’s Edith Nawakwi declared 3.9 billion kwacha in several assets.
The ADD’s Charles Milupi declared 35 billion kwacha while his UPND counterpart, Hakainde Hichilema declared 46.1 billion kwacha.
The National Movement for Progressive Party’s Ng’andu Magande declared 6.2 billion kwacha and ZED’s Fred Mutesa declared 3.6 billion kwacha while assets declarations for 2 other candidates were not available by broadcast time.
