He also promised the people of Zambia issued-based campaigns ahead of the 20th September 2011 general elections.
Meanwhile, former Finance Minister, Ng’andu Magande has also successfully filed his presidential nomination.
Mr Magande filed his nomination in the afternoon, on the ticket of the National Movement for Progressive Party, which he heads as President.
And National Restoration Party leader, Elias Chipimo Junior has also successfully filed his presidential nomination.
Mr Chipimo filed in the morning ahead of Mr Hichilema and Mr Magande.
Speaking later, Mr Chipimo said he wants to restore Zambia’s lost values while Mr Magande said he is bringing a new approach to politics.
Meanwhile, MMD Presidential aspirant, Rupiah Banda will know his fate tomorrow as the high court makes a ruling on the Patriotic Front’s application to bar him.
The PF’s Secretary-General, Wynter Kabimba has applied to the court to bar President Banda from contesting in this year’s general elections because his father is not Zambian.
High court judge-in-charge, Jane Kabuka set tomorrow, 9th August 2011 as the day she will make a decision on the matter after all parties made written submissions last Friday.
