COMESA CALLS FOR REGIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT

The Common Market for East and Southern Africa has called for regional infrastructure improvements.
COMESA Secretary-General, Sindiso Ngwenya says this is for the purpose strengthening foreign direct investment –FDI- attraction into the region.
Mr Ngwenya’s call comes in the advent of Africa being classified as an attractive destination for FDI.
He was speaking at the 5th technical meeting on standardisation and quality assurance.
And Ministry of Commerce Permanent Secretary, Buleti Nsemukila said Zambia is working towards its preparedness to ably enforce regionally beneficial standards.
