CONTROVERSIAL CHANDA CHIMBA TAKES HIS CASE TO COURT

STAND UP FOR ZAMBIA producer and veteran broadcaster,  Chanda Chimba and the state-owned television, Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation have filed a notice of appeal in the Supreme Court.

The notice is meant to appeal against the Lusaka High Court’s decision to restrain them from broadcasting the ‘Stand up for Zambia’ television programme.

According to the notice filed with the supreme court, the appellants are not satisfied with the ruling of High court Judge, Patrick Matibini.

Justice Matibini had earlier ruled under cause number 2010/HP/1282 on 2^nd August 2011against the veteran broadcaster and ZNBC in a matter, in which Patriotic Front President, Michael Sata had applied for an injunction to restrain the airing the programme.
