ZAMBIA LAUNCHES FIRST-EVER INVESTMENT GUIDE

Zambia has for the first time launched a guide outlining opportunities for both local and foreign investors.
Zambia Development Agency Director-General, Andrew Chipwende says the guide is envisaged to contribute to national economic development.
And speaking at the launch, the Ministry of Commerce emphasised government’s commitment in increasing Foreign Direct Investment.
Acting Permanent Secretary, Sakwiba Lubasi said the Private Sector Development Reform Programme is aimed at easing the process of doing business in the country.
Meanwhile, Platform for Social Protection Country Coordinator, Mutale Wakunuma says politicians must prioritise poverty in their campaigns.
Ms Wakunuma has noted that more that half of the Zambian populace is living in abject poverty.
She has explained that it is however saddening to note that politicians are campaigning on personalities.
Ms Wakunuma has stated that politicians must instead articulate pro-poor development policies.
