MUVI TV FORMULATES ELECTIONS COVERAGE EDITORIAL GUIDELINES

Muvi TV has formulated election editorial guidelines in order to facilitate balanced coverage of all political parties.
The guidelines have been devised internally in collaboration with the British Broadcasting Corporation BBC Service World Trust.
And Muvi TV Managing Director, Steve Nyirenda says the station will strive to give equal coverage to all parties.
Meanwhile, BBC World Service Trust Country Director, Soren Johanese has stated the need for impartiality among media practitioners.
Meanwhile, United States Ambassador to Zambia, Mark Storella has challenged political parties to denounce violence ahead of the general elections.
Mr Storella however says he is hopeful that the elections will be as peaceful as they have been in the past.
He has also called for stakeholders’ tolerance in order for foreign monitors and observers to conduct their work freely.
And Mr Storella has further urged the media to contribute to strengthening democratic tenets through fair reporting.
