A witness has told
the Lusaka magistrate court that Henry Kapoko never took all the money
allegedly stolen from the Ministry of Health.
Gladys Masupelo
Chawinga, who was initially charged with Kapoko and 9 others, said the former
human resources manager never took the money as allegedly stolen.
The respective
money is that which was budgeted for workshops held at different places.
Chawinga told Mongu
resident magistrate, Exonorbit Zulu, who sat as magistrate in Lusaka, that it
would be unfair to allege that all the monies went to Kapoko.
She however showed
the court several cheques and further said that on 20th November,
she cashed a cheque of 100 million and gave the money to Kapoko.
Chawinga added that
she could nevertheless not produce any documentation to prove that Kapoko
received that money because he did not sign anywhere.
