ECZ CANCELS ELECTIONS IN 15 WARDS AND 2 CONSTITUENCIES


Electorates in 15 select wards will not vote in the local government category in tomorrow’s general elections.
This is because the Electoral Commission of Zambia has cancelled the respective polls on reasons of candidates’ errors on ballot papers.
The ECZ has since rescheduled to a later date, the polls in the 15 wards in Eastern, Central, Copperbelt and Western provinces.
Other wards affected are in Lusaka, Luapula, Northern, southern and North-western provinces.
Meanwhile, ECZ Public Relations Manager, Cris Akufuna has further announced the postponement of parliamentary elections in 2 constituencies.
Mr Akufuna has named the affected constituencies as Nakonde in Northern province and Magoye in Southern province.
He has cited deaths in the named political party candidates in the respective affected constituencies.
