PF DISASSOCIATES FROM REPORTS OF POLITICAL VIOLENCE

Patriotic Front Vice-President, Guy Scott has dismissed reports that the party’s supporters have taken over the bus stations in Lusaka.
Dr Scott has further refuted reports that PF supporters are attacking the opposition MMD cadres.
He has argued that the PF has always been a peaceful party and it will ensure that councils take control of the all the markets.
Dr Scott has also assured that the PF will guarantee the removal of political party cadres from markets and bus stations.
Meanwhile, PF Chairperson for Local Government, Given Lubinda has advised people seeking reconciliation with the party to first apologise.
Mr Lubinda says those who insulted the party leader and republican president, Michael Sata, must show remorse before seeking reconciliation.
He further explained that it is neither the PF nor President Sata, who deserves an apology, but the people of Zambia, who were insulted.
Mr Lubinda was speaking in an interview with ZANIS in reaction to calls for reconciliation.
