Former President Kenneth Kaunda has reiterated his call for free and fair
elections next week.
And Dr Kaunda has disowned his office personnel for their denial of his
earlier statement on his calls.
The first republican president has since emphasised the contests of his
earlier statement that peace will only be guaranteed when the will of the
people is upheld.
Dr Kaunda has explained that this is the message that he has preached in
various media and at various for a therefore he wonders why his office chose to
deny his statement.
This is contained in a latest statement printed on an Office of the First
President letter-head, dated 16th September and signed by Dr Kaunda.
