The South African government says all people, inclusive of Zambians,
travelling to that country are expected to have valid vaccination for yellow
fever.
The Zambian high commission to South Africa has confirmed this in a
statement.
The statement says effective 1st October 2011, all people
entering South Africa are required to have proof of vaccination against yellow
fever.
The
statement further says failure to abide by this requirement will attract
penalties such as refusal of entry or being quarantined for a period of not
more than 6 days.
