Transparency International Zambia Executive Director, Goodwell
Lungu says political players in the country have fallen short of complying with
the Electoral Code of conduct.
Mr Lungu was speaking today on Muvi TV during a TIZ programme
dubbed Transparency and Integrity
programme monitored in Lusaka.
And Anti-Voter Apathy Project –AVAP- Director, Bonnie Tembo said
political parties fail to engage in conflict resolution.
Speaking on the same programme, Young African Leaders Initiative
Chairman, Andrew Ntewewe called on the electorate not to tolerate corruption.
Meanwhile, MISA Zambia Chairman, Daniel Sikazwe called on the
media to be innovative in their work.
Meanwhile, Alliance
for Democracy and Development President, Charles Milupi says people of Western
province are tired of being led by people from other
provinces.
Mr
Milupi also says the general elections are an opportunity for the Western
province to redeem itself politically, economically
and socially.
Speaking at a public rally in Mongu yesterday,
Mr Milupi said the September, 20th general elections provide an
opportunity for the people of Western Province to change government.
